Our Philosophy
We offer training and education to provide men in the community with new skills particularly in the area of woodwork and design. The participants in the programme learn valuable life long skills that they can put into practice in any work environment.
Participants are mentored by our skilled carpentry team in woodwork and design skills in the onsite workshop in Churchfield. Participants work collaboratively with the team to develop skills such as relationship building, creativity, innovation, teamwork, time management, organisation, self confidence, work ethic, diligence, problem solving and much more…
Our mission is to continue providing support and education to the participants through training, education and upskilling thus improving opportunities for progression. By personal and professional development goals for the participants, participants achieve greater integration and opportunities.
Hand Crafted Creche Furniture
Our Community Employment Participants produce a range of Handmade Wooden Creche and Pre–School products at our purpose built workshop at Churchfield, Cork. These products have been designed and developed by our work shop manager who gives guidance and instruction in the production of items such as bespoke tables and chairs. Products include custom made child kitchen units with sink, cooker, washing machine, and double and single seaters with cushions or designed as requested. Surface areas are finished in a durable lead-free paint which allows for easy cleaning. All edges are rounded for safety. Fire resistant foam is used in all cushions and upholstery. Measurements can be adjusted to suit individual requirements. Items can also be provided in a variety of colours.

Furniture
In conjunction with the above, participants also produce and develop a range of Handmade wooden garden furniture, accessories and plant containers. Our Garden Furniture Range are all made from larch which is known for its durability. Window boxes and herb boxes are enhanced with natural bark. All items are weather treated and can be filled in a variety of colours. The Garden Range includes garden chairs, tables, footrests, birdhouse, birdbox, and a variety of planters.
